A centred opening with the proof above the headline
The row of faces, the score and the sentence beside it all take their colour from the band this block was placed on, and no class in the block says which band that is.

A photograph carrying the type, and a scrim the theme tuned
Upstream darkened the picture by halving its opacity. Here the picture is at full strength under a gradient the site declares, which is the one place a scrim is allowed to be tuned.
Words in one column, the work in the other
The split band, photograph on the right. Its twin below carries the same picture on the left, which is how consecutive splits alternate.
- The heading is a step, not a size
- The lede is bounded by its column
- The score has a sentence a screen reader reads
- The faces overlap without a ring the ground would fight

The same photographic ground with the claims spelled out
Four short claims sit between the sentence and the calls to action. Each one is a customer's, and the tick beside it is drawn in the accent this ground lifts.
- Every word on this band is the caller's
- Every colour is the band's
- The tick is one icon, imported by name
- The photograph is a runtime URL

The same band with the photograph on the other side
Two files that differ by the order of two children. The law they exist for says consecutive splits alternate which side the picture sits on.
- One shape, two hands
- The grid is upstream's
- The colours are the band's
- The words are the customer's

The photograph fading out from behind the words
A mask takes the picture away on the left above the large breakpoint, so the column of words sits on the ground rather than on the frame.
- The mask is a fade, not a colour
- The scrim is still the theme's
- The heading is one step below a centred hero's
- The score reads its stars off this ground

A narrow column and a wide picture
No claims, no faces, no score: the quietest split in the set, and the one a page uses when the photograph is the argument.

The calls to action in a column of their own
The words on one side, the two buttons and the proof stacked on the other, over a photograph masked away at the top and the bottom of the band.

The same quiet opening, split
A narrow column of words beside a picture three times its width, and the band's hairline around the picture.

Centred, over the frame, with the proof underneath
The tallest band in the set: a full screen of photograph with the headline in the middle of it and the score below the buttons.

A page opening at the volume of a band head
A rule above and below one row, then the picture. Upstream sized this heading where its section titles sit, and the step says so.

The bold move, and what a vendored band does on it
On the brand ground the reading colour, the hairline and the muted prose all move together, and the block is not told any of it.
- The muted prose lifts to the brand's own foreground
- The hairline is the brand's, not the page's
- The tick follows the reading colour
- The photograph keeps its own hairline
