Golden Fixture Co.

What a vendored article header has to survive

This band is the top of a document rather than the top of a site, so its heading is the h1 step and not the display step. Everything under it arrives through the default slot.

A graded field crossed by one soft diagonal band

The article body is the page’s, not the block’s. The block gives it a measure, a step and a rhythm, and says nothing about what is written in it — which is the whole reason a slot is the right shape here and a prose prop is not.

Two paragraphs, so the gap between them is visible in the look sheet and a theme that changes the body step moves both.

One column, one photograph under it

The plainest of the four content bands: a heading, a lede bounded by the theme’s measure, a ticked list, the band’s calls to action, and one wide photograph beneath all of them.

  • Each tick is the band’s accent, so it moves with the ground rather than with the primary token.
  • Each row is the body step: the block chooses no size, no weight and no face.
  • The photograph is a plain img against a URL, because a runtime media URL is not a file on disk.

Two columns, the photograph beside the words

The same words as the band above, laid out so the photograph carries the right half above the large breakpoint and stacks under the text below it.

  • The grid bounds the text column, so this band asks for no measure of its own.
  • Below the large breakpoint the two columns become one, which the mobile sheet is taken for.

A shoulder with the calls to action ranged against it

No list and no icon: this is the content band for a page that has one thing to say and one photograph to say it over.

A narrow column against a wide photograph

One part words to two parts picture. The band is here because a customer with one strong photograph and three short claims has nowhere else to put them.

  • The narrow column bounds the text, so this band asks for no measure either.
  • The photograph takes two thirds of the band above the large breakpoint.
  • Every colour on this row came from the ground the band was given.

Centred

The article header that carries a reading time

The header is centred and the prose under it is not, because centred body copy is unreadable at any measure — which is a decision the block makes and the page does not.

Upstream separates the date from the name with a lighter weight. A weight belongs to the type step, so here the separation is the band’s muted colour and the middot that was already there.

The by-line disc on this band has no portrait, so it falls back to initials — the second of the two avatar paths, seen once more at the large size.

A synthetic site the platform owns outright, kept small on purpose and changed only with a reason.
